I saw this makeup look on Lucy Boynton, who by the way, wears makeup beautifully, and I wanted to recreate it because it was bold and editorial, without being too overpowering. It is a great look for during the day or at night, and I love how it looks paired with fresh skin because it gives it a more modern feel.

When it comes to cat-eye, it is all about practice, practice, practice. I even had to do the second eye three times because the damn wing wouldn’t come out right. Liquid liner smells fear and frustration, so be patient.

Also, for the first time I used the L’oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer, which didn’t make me look dry and it held up pretty well. I actually only had to go back with powder after six hours, which I think is pretty great, considering that I used a lot of hydrating products underneath and the foundation is very glowy.

If you want to take this look to another level you can always extend the wings and be bolder, which I actually did because I went out that night. However, you can also play it up with an intense lip or with more eyeshadow.
