the healthy cookieFinding a healthy cookie recipe that has no flour, no sugar or sweeteners of any kind has been really hard! But I finally did, and it is a good one. Ok, they won’t taste like Chips Ahoy, but they are still pretty good. Plus, I find that you can trick the brain if you give it something that has the same texture and shape than the thing you are trying to duplicate. Now, onto the recipe.

ingredients cookIngredients:

-2 ripe bananas (and they have to be RIPE because it provides the sweetness the recipe is lacking in sweeteners)

-1/2 cup of almond or peanut butter

-2 cups of oatmeal (make sure that the oats don’t have any additives)

-1 tablespoon of vanilla

-1/4 cup of raisins

-1 teaspoon of cinnamon

-Shredded unsweetened coconut (as much as desired)

Optional: some kind of nuts.

The drill for this recipe is incredibly simple. Put all the ingredients in the blender, except for the shredded coconut, mix it all together, and then bake for 35 min at 350 degrees (F). Once you take them out of the oven sprinkle the coconut on top, et voila!

If you want to get a bit creative, you can even replace the raisins for sugar free chocolate chips!
